Senior Creative
Award winning Creative from Naarm (Melbourne).
That’s not me in the tree playing the flute. But I kind of wish it was, because I love trees, music and visuals that make you need to know more. I also love ideas. I love thinking of them, growing them, and making them in all shapes and sizes.
I’ve worked at internationally renowned agencies like Clemenger BBDO across clients like BMW, CUB, TAC, MINI, GOV, SOMERSBY, NAB, SCHWEPPES & MAZDA. I’ve also worked in smaller more nimble agencies, wearing many hats and solving client business problems. At both I’ve worked alongside brilliant creative, strategic and crafty minds, absorbing as much of their smarts as I can.
My work has been recognised at award shows and by the Prime Minister of Australia (see footnote) but it still feels best getting kudos from the real world. Favourites being “that’s so dumb it’s funny!”, “this would make the hardest person tear up” and debatably “best beer ad ever!”. I create ideas that are embedded into culture through strategy, insight, timing and craft, and sometimes even help shape it.
Before I was an Art Director I was a designer so I like to keep a keen eye on craft and clarity. Between that I worked in the Canadian mountains with my snowboard in tow. And way before all of that I wrote music, poems and stories. In fact when I was nine I had a short story published. It was about a super hero called Sir Fartman. Unsurprisingly, my career as a writer stopped there, but I do still like to dabble.
