Senior Art Director

Award winning Creative from Naarm, Melbourne.

That’s not me in the tree playing a flute. But I really wish it was, because I love trees and music and visuals that make you need to know more. I also love ideas. I love thinking of them, growing them, and making them visually delicious.

I create work that can shift perception, build cultural relevance and have real commercial impact by blending strategy, craft and cultural insight. My work has been recognised in award shows and by the Prime Minister of Australia, who said about one campaign “I can’t think of a more valuable campaign for the future Australia we wish to create.” But my favourite compliments come from the general public whether we make them laugh “this is so dumb it’s funny!” or cry “This would make the hardest person cry.”

I’ve worked as a creative at internationally renowned agencies like Clemenger BBDO (for seven years), working on a broad range of iconic brands including BMW, CUB, TAC, MINI, AUS GOV , SOMERSBY, NAB, SCHWEPPES & MAZDA. There I also had the privilege of working with some of the most brilliant creative, strategic and crafty minds, all influencing my creative style. I have also enjoyed working in smaller, nimble agencies and freelanced for brands embedded in culture.

I started in design before moving into Art Direction which means I’ve kept a strong focus on craft, clarity and ideas that work in the real world. You will still find me on the tools when needed. Once, I even had a short story published… when I was nine. It was about a super hero called Sir Fartman. Unsurprisingly, my career as a writer stopped there; however, I do dabble in campaign headline copy.

I’m passionate about creative, craft and collaboration, and about supporting the development of individuals and ideas through mentoring .

If you’d like to learn more about my work, or the trees, I’d love to hear from you.
