THE PROBLEM
Australia was experiencing a critical teacher shortage. The profession was viewed as too hard and not worth the effort. So to change the conversations we needed to show just how rewarding it can be and the incredible impact a teacher can have on a students life.

THE IDEA
While some professions collect trophies and Linkedin likes, teachers cherish things with far more significance. Mementos from students whose lives they’ve changed. To reframe the teaching profession and combat Australia’s teacher shortage we asked teachers to share these mementos and the powerful stories behind them. Over 800+ objects and their stories were submitted.

With the stories we created an exhibition,, leading to a series of 8 films shown in cinema, online, and across OOH. Encouraging more teachers to share their stories. Demonstrating the extraordinary impact teachers can have an inspiring more Australians to pursue teaching as a career.
